London Theatre School – A Cutting Edge Dance Academy

Are you looking for a professional dance college? Here at London Theatre School we are a cutting edge dance academy that is dedicated to training students to have a successful career in the performing arts industry. We are committed to providing a fun and unrivalled training environment at our performing arts school, and offer training for musical theatre and commercial jazz.
One of the Leading UK Theatre Schools

We have a fantastic success rate at our theatre school, as 90% of our graduated students have gone on to work in the performing arts industry – which is why we are one of the leading theatre schools in the UK. Our performing arts school was established in 2002 by two professional dancers who are passionate about creating an enjoyable and informative training environment. When you attend our dance college, you will be taught by a committed team of teachers who aim to ensure you reach your full potential.

Interested in Attending Our Dance College?

If you are considering attending our performing arts school then you should be sure to order a prospectus from us and a dance academy application form. Once we have received your dance college application, we will then invite you to attend an audition at our dance academy, and your audition will consist of a ballet class, a jazz class and a singing class. Following your audition at our theatre schools, you will then have an interview with one of our course directors.

Are You an International Dance Academy Applicant?

If you are considering applying from outside the UK and cannot make the audition at our theatre schools, then you can audition via YouTube, video or a DVD. However, you should state that you are an international candidate on the dance academy application, and information on the audition requirements will be emailed to you.

Do I Need to Have Performing Experience to Attend the Theatre School?

Here at London Theatre School, we asses our dance college candidates based on their potential in addition to their current ability. Therefore, you do not need to have previous training or experience to be accepted onto a course at our theatre schools. We are an equal opportunities performing arts school and welcome dance college students from various social or cultural backgrounds – so you can rest assured that you will not be discriminated against due to your gender, race, religion, nationality, culture, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. Performing Arts School Courses

During your time at our performing arts school, you will undertake intensive theatre school training which will ultimately allow you to become an all round performer when you leave our dance academy. You will receive training in a variety of performance styles at our dance college, and this training will serve you well when auditioning in the demanding industry. Whether you dream of performing on the West End stage or for a more commercial role in the industry, you won’t find a better performing arts school than us here at London Theatre School.

We offer a range of courses at our dance academy which will be taught by inspiring and experienced teachers, so you should be sure to consider our one year commercial jazz course, our one year musical theatre course or our two year performer course to help you achieve your ambitions.

Dance College Fees and Funding

Our dance academy course fees are stated on the ‘Fees’ section of our website, as well as information on how you can obtain funding to attend our performing arts school.

Here at London Theatre School we only offer a small number of assisted places on an annual basis, and this will ultimately be based on a candidate’s talent and financial situation. During the audition process at our theatre schools, each candidate will be graded and those with the highest grades in all areas will then be invited to attend the Assisted Place Audition.
